Beginning and Intermediate Clay


Students learn the basics of creating pottery on a wheel. Techniques taught include throwing, trimming, and glazing.

Squirt Clay Class

Students explore the physical characteristics of clay and clay construction by making pinch pots, beads and medallions, decorative plates and bowls, and ceramic figures. They learn how to integrate clay and fibers, practice the African tradition of Mangbetu Pressed Coils, and use additive and subtractive techniques to alter the surface of clay. This class is designed for children ages 4-8.
