Glass Action

Glass Action is a stained glass restoration social enterprise that will employ low-income individuals in the art of stained glass restoration.

We target historic structures in need of stained glass restoration that may not be able to afford going-rate restoration and contract with them on an application-based sliding scale. Glass action will promote historic preservation, community and economic development, and job creation and training.

The Union Project has successfully restored the majority of its own 100-year old windows with innovative approaches and is now building on those ideas for broader impact. All contracted work will be individually estimated based on the complexity and condition of the windows, and taking the organizations or owner’s budget into consideration along with their ability to bring volunteers to the project to help economize resources.
