Catherine Berard owns and operates Prism Stained Glass at 5234 Butler Street in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh. She has been in business for 6 years. Her business consists of stained glass restoration, new commissions, teaching classes and selling stained glass supplies.  From 2003 to 2006 she taught stained glass restoration classes for the Union Project, restoring a 100 year old gothic church into a community center.  During that time two-thirds of the windows were restored.  

Catherine was also a visiting artist from Fall of 2005 to Fall of 2008 at The Ellis School, a private girls’ school in Shadyside.  In those years the students had designed and built 4 large stained glass windows that incorporate medallions from stained glass windows that had been created in 1947 for The Ellis School.  These painted and fired medallions exemplify historic women of outstanding achievements and reflect a vision by which the school was founded.  

Catherine is a native Pittsburgher and has B.S. in art education from Indiana University of Pa.
