The Union Project is housed in a 15,000 square foot, 100 year old stone church building. The building, constructed in 1903 as Second United Presbyterian Church, was most recently the home of Union Baptist Church. The main areas available for rent are 9 multifunctional studio/office spaces. Each space is unique and varies in exact size. All opes to a large community gathering space of around 1000 square feet. The Union Project's Great Hall houses a 300 square foot stage and 1500 square foot seating area. The building also has a shared board meeting space, cafe, and ceramics/stained glass studio facilities.

The offices, spread over two floors in the back half of the building, are used primarily by small local businesses and non-profit organizations. Each of the studios boasts beautiful, stained glass windows that have been restored using the Union Project's unique stained glass restoration classes and have phone and Internet connections. Tenants have access to public work sinks, restrooms, kitchenette, meeting space, board rooms, and gallery areas.

The back half of the building is highlighted by the Atrium, which serves as a gallery, small performance, and gathering place. Whether it's gathering and conversing with other artists and local businesspeople or enjoying a small music performance, resident art exhibit, or intimate dinner, this area is perfect for small gatherings of many kinds.

Board meetings and other gathering of 15 or fewer people can take place in the Board Room, which features a kitchenette and a large screen plasma TV available for rental during events. The television makes power point and other presentations hold the attention of viewers in a way no computer or projector ever could.

Large musical and theatrical performances are held in the Great Hall, a civic gathering area that has a sloping floor for natural auditorium seating and huge, stunning stained glass windows on three sides. This multi-purpose gathering space is also used for community meetings, open houses, weddings and as a gathering place for worship groups.

The restoration of the Union Project provides many interesting multi-purpose areas that are being designed to serve the local community in a variety of ways. Partners with the Union Project will find affordable, practical space full of character and unique personality.
