Community Classes

Union Project offers affordable pricing, opportunities for one-time low-to-no rental costs, and marketing support for community events and entrepreneurs. By offering this flexibility and support, we seek to incubate individuals and their ideas. As a class grows, it in turn generates more revenue, which is used to support the next aspiring instructor. It is the eventual hope, however, that individuals or events grow to the point where they move out of our space into a space of their own. If you would like to support entrepreneurs within your community or just want to learn a new skill, meet new people, or have fun, take a look at the upcoming classes

Pat teaches AFEP

Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program

Tuesday and Thursday, 12:00 - 1:00pm (Atrium)

Instructor: Pat Stewart

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a low-impact physical activity program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness. The routines include gentle range-of-motion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level.

Community Power Yoga and Meditation Circle

Wednesday, 7:30 - 8:45am (Atrium)

Instructor: Molly McHolme

A dynamic, flowing, power vinyasa style yoga practice. This class is suitable for any and all ability levels, and is designed to challenge all students physically and mentally. The emphasis here is true health: through this practice, we can strengthen our bodies, calm our minds, and allow joy to emerge within our being. The 60 minute class is followed by a 15-20 minute reflective Meditation Circle for anyone interested in participating.

Start your day in strength and stillness, to greet all of life's joys and challenges with grace and peace! You are encouraged to bring a mat!

Stef teaches yoga

Vinyasa Yoga

An energetic style of yoga that will include sun salutations, a variety of standing/seated poses, and the potential for arm balances and inversions. Some yoga experience is helpful, but not required.

Train Like a Boxer

Wednesday, 7:15 - 8:15pm (Atrium)

Learn how to turn, twist, plank, jump, and lunge like a boxer. Experience the strength training exercises meant to get you ready for the ring. Learn the fundamentals of boxing with or without gloves. Get ready to learn how to jab, cross, hook, and upper cut into the most "bad" (amazing) and fit version of yourself. Pad work will be included based on what the individuals in the class want. It is hard to believe how fast the hour goes because it is so much fun. Every level is welcome because I make the class unique to the individuals ability. Gloves are not provided.

Kimee teaches black yoga

Black Yoga

Thursday (except the third Thursday each month), 6:00 - 7:00pm (Atrium)

Vinyasa Yoga set to drone, noise, stoner metal, ambient, industrial, trip-hop, and other traditional meditation music.  Limited new and used mats for use, you are encouraged to bring your own mat.
